To address these, all pets arriving at the airport via our shipping services must undergo a comprehensive veterinary health check before they can be released for delivery or pickup. This requirement is in place for several important reasons:

What the Veterinary Health Check Involves

Upon arrival at the airport, your pet is immediately transferred to a secure, climate-controlled holding area where our licensed veterinary team performs a thorough health assessment. The health check includes:

1. Physical Examination

  • Checking vital signs: temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate

  • Assessing hydration, body condition, and weight

  • Examining eyes, ears, nose, mouth, skin, and coat for signs of infection, injury, or distress

  • Palpating abdomen and limbs for abnormalities

2. Behavioral Assessment

  • Observing your pet’s demeanor and responsiveness

  • Checking for signs of anxiety, fear, or trauma that might have resulted from the journey

3. Vaccination Review

  • Verifying that all required vaccinations are up to date according to destination and local regulations

  • Administering any missing or required vaccines (e.g., rabies, distemper, parvovirus, kennel cough, feline panleukopenia, etc.)

4. Disease and Parasite Screening

  • Visual inspection for external parasites (fleas, ticks, mites)

  • Screening for common communicable diseases through rapid tests if necessary

  • Checking for symptoms of zoonotic diseases (those that can be transmitted to humans)

5. Documentation Audit

  • Reviewing and validating health certificates, import permits, and vaccination records

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Vet Check Fee Structure

To maintain the highest standards of veterinary care and administrative efficiency, a mandatory fee of $600 is charged for the health check and any required vaccinations. This fee covers:

  • Comprehensive veterinary examination by a licensed professional

  • Review and processing of all health and travel documents

  • Administration of standard vaccinations required at the point of entry

  • Secure holding and monitoring during the vet check process

  • Administrative and logistical costs associated with regulatory compliance

Refund Policy

We believe in transparency and fairness. If your pet passes the vet check and does not require any additional vaccinations or treatments, 70% of the vet check fee ($420) will be refunded to you. The remaining 30% ($210) covers the cost of the examination and administrative expenses.

  • If no issues are found, you receive a $490 refund.

  • If vaccinations or treatments are required, the cost will be deducted from the fee, and you will be informed of any additional charges, if applicable. You will always be notified and consulted before any non-emergency treatments are administered.


What Happens After the Vet Check?

If Your Pet Is Healthy:

  • Once your pet is cleared by our veterinary team, we will proceed with the next steps outlined in our PET DELIVERY SERVICE policy.

  • You will be notified immediately that your pet is ready for delivery or pickup.

  • Our delivery team will coordinate with you to arrange a safe, comfortable, and timely transfer of your pet to your home or designated location.

If Your Pet Requires Medical Attention:

  • If the vet identifies any health concerns, we will contact you immediately with a detailed report and recommended actions.

  • Any necessary treatments will be discussed and only performed with your consent, except in emergency situations where immediate intervention is required for your pet’s safety.

  • We will keep you updated throughout the process and provide clear documentation of any care provided.
